Phillipsburg Mall

Phillipsburg Mall opened its doors to NJGAP and brought smiles to many faces. The greys were welcomed by one and all and many applications were filled in after meeting our beautiful dogs. One highlight was seeing the joy on the children's faces as they posed with one of our dressed up greys and Santa Claus!
We hope to get some more photos taken at this wonderful event but enjoy the few the webmaster had of her daughter and a foster dog named Bouvander who was very willing and happy to dress the part and join in the spirit. The Star Ledger covered the event so we received even more publicity because of it!!

4th of July Parade- Lebanon Boro, NJ

Fourth of July this year could only be described in one word: hot! But our greys were out there braving the temperatures to put on a wonderful group march in the Lebanon Boro 4th of July Parade. There were buckets of water lining the parade route and nice wet towels to help them on the way and of course, the best reward at the end was swimming pools of cool water waiting for them. They made it through and as you can see from the photos taken by Eric Elwin they came through with flying colors!

Flemington Fair

This annual event always draws lots of crowds around the greyhounds and a great number of applications! It is one of the best ways to get the word out and the public love to come and talk to us and pet the greys! It takes a lot of effort on many people's part to put an event like this together and NJGAP is particularly grateful to Mary Pat, our volunteer coordinator, who puts the whole thing together each year. Everything is organized right down to a cage with a fan available for hot and tired dogs and a swimming pool in the tack trunk in case it gets too hot! We sold T-Shirts and collars and leashes and our static cling bumper stickers and introduced the Greyhound silhouettes for the cars that are soon to be introduced in our Greyt Gifts section.The photos were taken by John Kelly who recently adopted one of our special needs dogs, Jake!
